On December 18, a meeting was successfully held at Sinopec Tianjin Branch to mark the commissioning of the 100% domestically produced DCS (Distributed Control System) for the POE (polyolefin elastomer) unit of the Sinopec Tianjin Nangang 1.2 million tons/year ethylene and downstream high-end new materials industrial cluster project (hereinafter referred to as: Tianjin Nangang Ethylene Project), and to summarize the acceptance of the domestically produced ethylene control system. The successful commissioning of the 100% domestically produced DCS for the POE unit and the successful acceptance of the domestically produced ethylene control system not only provide reliable support for the long-term stable operation of the plant, but also establish a replicable and scalable demonstration benchmark for the independent development of my country's petrochemical industry. This is of great significance in enhancing the independent and controllable capabilities of the industrial chain and promoting the intelligent transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry. On December 26th, the ceremony for the rollout of UBTECH's 1000th industrial humanoid robot, the Walker S2, and the signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement between the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and UBTECH, were grandly held at UBTECH's super intelligent robot factory in Liuzhou. On December 9, 2025, Chongqing Three Gorges University, in collaboration with Chongqing Jiulong Wanbo New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., Hangzhou HollySys Automation Co., Ltd., and external expert Professor Lu Xiaofeng, jointly signed a framework agreement for the "Intelligent Simulation System Training Center." This agreement marks the beginning of a new chapter in deep integration between the university and industry, and collaborative talent cultivation, through a four-party partnership. The signing ceremony was presided over by Guo Xianhua, Dean of the School of Environmental and Chemical Engineering at Chongqing Three Gorges University, and was also attended by representatives from Beijing HollySys Industrial Software Co., Ltd. At the ceremony, Wang Liangwei, Vice President of Chongqing Three Gorges University, pointed out that deepening industry-education integration and strengthening school-enterprise cooperation are crucial pathways for connecting the education chain and talent chain with the industrial chain and innovation chain. This collaboration is not only a convergence of resources and ideas from all four parties, but also a critical step in the construction of the university's "Integrated Virtual and Real Practice Teaching Platform for Low-Carbon Technologies and Services in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area," which will provide strong support for engineering education reform and regional industrial technology upgrading.
