On August 20, 2025, Siemens and the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone Civil Affairs Bureau officially signed a letter of intent in Nuremberg, Germany. The two organizations exchanged views on leveraging Germany's advanced "dual system" vocational education concepts to support the construction of the Hengqin-Macao High-skilled Talent Public Training Center (tentative name) and promote international cooperation in high-skilled talent training. This development aims to implement the "Overall Plan for the Development of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone" and accelerate the integration of Hengqin and Macao. According to the Letter of Intent, the two parties have reached a cooperation intention to jointly develop the "Hengqin-Macao High-skilled Talent Public Training Center (tentative name) Artificial Intelligence (Smart Manufacturing) Application Demonstration Training Zone (tentative name)." This collaboration will focus on related technical development in real-world application scenarios, including the application of electromechanical digital twin technology, industrial artificial intelligence, digital application and maintenance of industrial robots, and intelligent building technology. The collaboration will also introduce the "Siemens Digital Technology Talent Training System" and "Siemens Smart Manufacturing Engineering Talent Certification" programs to assist the Cooperation Zone in implementing its "Macao + Hengqin" positioning, actively explore the deep integration of high-skilled talent training with the promotion of Macao's industrial diversification, and address the public service needs of high-skilled talent training.
