From July 17 to 20, the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026) was grandly held in Shanghai, where Taishi Zhihang showcased its presence at booth H3-C409 in the World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center under the theme "Building Trustworthy Physical AI." At the event, Taishi Zhihang translated its "trustworthiness" value proposition into tangible capabilities—allowing for visualization, hands-on testing, and verification—thereby propelling Physical AI from a mere technical concept to real-world implementation. On the opening day of the conference, the "AWE" general-purpose embodied AI foundation model won the WAIC SAIL Award, becoming the only embodied intelligence foundation model to receive this honor at the event. As one of the few foundation models capable of closing the loop across real-world data, world models, physical hardware, and industrial application scenarios, AWE boasts over a million hours of high-quality human data, along with industry-leading generalization capabilities and proven deployment potential.
On July 16, Peking University and Jaka Robotics signed a cooperation agreement in Beijing to jointly establish the "PKU-Jaka Joint Laboratory for General-Purpose Intelligent Robots" (hereinafter referred to as the "Joint Laboratory"). The two parties will focus on the fundamental theories and key technologies of embodied intelligence, aiming to enhance the autonomous operational capabilities of general-purpose intelligent robots and advance their industrial application. Duan Huiling—Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Vice President of Peking University, and Dean of the College of Engineering (Undergraduate College) at Peking University—attended the signing ceremony alongside other university and corporate leaders and key research personnel. Attendees included Song Jie, Party Secretary of the School of Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics; Chen Wei, Party Secretary of the College of Engineering (Undergraduate College); Ma Lan, Vice Dean of the College of Engineering; Zhao Shuru, Director of the Intellectual Property Office at Peking University’s Office of Science and Technology Development; faculty representatives from the School of Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics; as well as Li Mingyang, Chairman of JAKA Robotics, Xu Xiong, Vice President, and Hua Lei, Deputy Dean of the JAKA Research Institute. Together, they witnessed this significant milestone in the establishment of the joint laboratory.
The 2026 Industrial Internet Conference was held in Beijing on June 29–30. Centered on the theme of "Empowering New Industrialization through the Integration of Industrial Internet and Artificial Intelligence," the conference saw the release of a series of significant outcomes, including the *Implementation Opinions on Promoting the High-Quality Development of the Industrial Internet* and the nation's first innovative factory implementation featuring "5G + AI + New Industrial Control." On June 30, during the conference, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and Zenith Steel jointly unveiled the nation's first innovative practice results for a "5G+AI+New Industrial Control" factory. As a core partner in the project, Inovance Technology played a pivotal role, supplying AI models, a C2MM architecture based on cloud-native PLCs, and a comprehensive electrical control solution to this world-leading "Lighthouse Factory" for smart steel cord manufacturing. Through its independently developed industrial control technologies, Inovance is driving the digital and intelligent transformation and upgrading of the steel industry.
On July 8, Liu Jiaqiang—a Standing Committee member of the CPPCC National Committee, Vice Chairperson of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK), and Director of the RCCK Central Committee’s Social and Legal Affairs Committee—led a research delegation to visit SUPCON Technology. Accompanying the delegation were He Bingqun (CPPCC National Committee member, Deputy Director of the RCCK Central Committee’s Social and Legal Affairs Committee, Vice Chairperson of the Hebei Provincial CPPCC, and Chairperson of the RCCK Hebei Provincial Committee) and Yang Huaidong (Director of the Research Department of the RCCK Central Committee and Deputy Director of the RCCK Central Committee’s Social and Legal Affairs Committee), among others. Relevant officials from the RCCK’s Zhejiang and Hangzhou organizations also participated in the visit. They were warmly received by Chu Jian (founder of SUPCON) and Mo Wei (Party Secretary and Vice President of SUPCON Technology), along with other company representatives. The research team visited the SUPCON Innovation Experience Center and received a detailed briefing on the company's intelligent solutions—spanning "AI+Safety," "AI+Quality," "AI+Low-carbon," and "AI+Efficiency"—which are designed to address industry frontiers and meet customer needs. The team acknowledged the practical achievements and application value of SUPCON’s industrial AI technologies in driving the digital and intelligent transformation of the process industry, specifically highlighting the Autonomous Operating Plant (AOP), the Time-series Pre-trained Transformer (TPT) large model, and the new-generation Universal Control System (UCS).
