• Hazardous Area Use: While the F802 is often used in systems reaching into hazardous areas, the module itself must be installed in a Safe Area or a Zone 2 location inside a suitable IP54-rated enclosure.

• Inrush Current: The F802 has a higher inrush current than the F801 (up to 4 times the rated current for $10\text{ ms}$). The bulk power supply feeding the carrier must be sized to handle this peak.

• Alarm Monitoring: The module features a normally closed (NC) relay for alarms. If the voltage drops below $24\text{V}$ on a segment, the relay opens. In non-redundant applications, the alarm circuit will remain open unless a blanking module is used.
