Important Precautions

• Dynamic Brake Considerations: If the dynamic brake is used frequently for emergency stops, ensure the system allows enough time for the internal resistors to cool down to prevent overheating.

• Cable Shielding: Always use Yaskawa-specified shielded cables for encoder and power connections. The encoder cable must be separated from the power cables by at least 30cm to prevent interference.

• Polarity and Phase: Double-check the U, V, and W motor terminal connections. Reversing phases will not only cause the motor to run in reverse but can trigger an overcurrent alarm or damage the controller.

• Residual Voltage: After turning off the power, wait at least 5 minutes for the internal charge lamps to extinguish before touching terminals. The capacitors retain high-voltage energy for a significant period.
