Shielding and Grounding: Use shielded twisted-pair cables for all analog outputs. Ground the shield at only one end (preferably the controller side) to prevent ground loops that introduce electrical noise into the signal.
Proper Wiring Separation: Never run analog output signal wires in the same conduit as high-voltage AC power lines. Maintain a minimum distance of 100mm to 200mm to avoid electromagnetic interference.
Unused Channel Management: For many modules, it is best practice to leave unused channels open-circuited and disable them in the software configuration to prevent unnecessary power draw or noise generation.
Power-Off Installation: Always shut down the main power to the controller before inserting or removing the module. "Hot-swapping" analog modules can lead to internal circuit failure due to transient voltage spikes.
