The unit is a resistor scaling module that was made to be used in the AutoMax PLC series that was made by Reliance Electric. The original manufacturer has ceased the manufacturing process of this product, but we here at AX Control may still have it in our inventory. The 805403-2R resistor scaling module consists of two main parts, those being the printed circuit board and the enclosure that surrounds it. The printed circuit board is comprised mainly of its numerous small resistors. In total, there are forty resistors running along the length of the circuit board. There are numerous stab-on connectors where cords can be connected from an accompanying module, the AutoMax 805427-1S module. The ratings for these connectors are displayed next to the appropriate rows on the enclosure that surrounds the circuit board.

The 805403-2R resistor scaling module’s enclosure has many labels which detail the operations for which the printed circuit board is responsible. On the side of the 805403-2R resistor scaling module, there are two ports. On the left, there is a smaller port that is labeled with “INPUT” above it. On the right, there is a larger port that is labeled with “OUTPUT TO PMI” above it. In the middle of the enclosure, there is also some text which tells the user the maximum input of the whole 805403-2R resistor scaling module, which is 800 V(RMS), and the operating temperature, which is set to a range of 0 degrees Celsius to 60 degrees Celsius.
