In April 2024, NIO's supply chain development department, in collaboration with the manufacturing engineering, intelligent equipment operation, and procurement cost management and analysis teams, held a CostMining Workshop focusing on industrial robots and related products with Kuka. In-depth discussions were held on seven specific cost reduction and optimization topics, including flexible systems, mobile robots and warehouse automation, and industrial automation ground rails. In November, the two parties once again joined hands to carry out a supply chain benchmarking workshop, hoping to continue writing a wonderful chapter of cooperation.

On November 28, the NIO team arrived at Kuka to update the implementation status and closed-loop management measures for the cost reduction opportunities formed by Cost Mining in April this year. On the basis of the robot and industrial guide rail business, we continue to explore all-round automation business cooperation such as pipeline packages, line integration, AMR, and stereoscopic warehouses.
