Membrane Material: Hydrophilic Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF).

Pre-screening: High-performance fine screening (usually 1 mm or less) is mandatory to prevent hair, fibers, and debris from clogging the membrane bundles.
Transmembrane Pressure (TMP) Monitoring: Operators must monitor TMP closely; a sudden rise indicates fouling that requires immediate chemical cleaning.
Aeration Scouring: Continuous or intermittent air scouring must be maintained to keep the membrane surface clean and prevent sludge cake buildup.
Chemical Compatibility: Only use approved cleaning agents (typically Sodium Hypochlorite and Citric Acid) at the recommended concentrations to avoid damaging the membrane structure.
Dryness Prevention: Once the membranes have been wetted, they must remain wet. If the modules dry out, the hydrophilic properties may be lost, significantly reducing permeability.
