The National Instruments cDAQ-9188XT is an 8-slot CompactDAQ Ethernet chassis designed for distributed or remote data acquisition in extreme environments. As part of the "XT" (Extended Temperature) series, it is specifically engineered to maintain high performance and reliability under conditions that would cause standard commercial electronics to fail. It serves as the foundation for a modular measurement system, allowing users to mix and match various C Series modules to measure electrical, mechanical, or environmental signals.

Module Compatibility: To achieve the full -40 °C to 70 °C operating range, you must ensure that the C Series modules inserted into the chassis are also rated for "Extended Temperature." Standard modules may limit the overall system temperature range.
Power Supply Quality: Given its use in industrial environments, it is vital to provide a stable 9 V to 30 V DC power source. In high-vibration environments, use the built-in screw-terminal power connector to prevent accidental disconnection.
