The Bently Nevada Servo Controller and Valve Driver Module is a specialized component engineered to integrate precise valve positioning with automated steam turbine control and machinery protection architectures, such as the Bently Nevada 3500 Series platform. It acts as a high-precision closed-loop driver that converts electronic command signals into current outputs to directly operate hydraulic servo valves, proportional valves, and steam admission valve actuators.

By processing continuous feedback from LVDTs (Linear Variable Differential Transformers), RVDTs, or eddy-current proximity transducers, the servo controller calculates exact mechanical positions and makes high-speed micro-adjustments. This continuous loop prevents valve hunting, ensures smooth turbine speed and load regulation, and supports automated emergency shutdown protocols to protect critical rotating assets from overspeed and mechanical failure.
