The Xinda humanoid robot "joins" the Haier factory. Have robots really started working in factories?
Oct 27, 2025Humanoid robots can not only dance and box, but also perform factory work, becoming a future productivity tool. Recently, Haier's interconnected refrigerator factory in Chongqing introduced a humanoid robot, Xinda. It can not only lubricate refrigerator door hinges but also perform more complex material handling and intelligent inspections.

Some may ask, given the maturity of industrial robots, why do factories still need humanoid or humanoid-like embodied intelligent robots? In reality, high-speed industrial robots are efficient and stable, but they lack the flexibility to adapt to specific scenarios and collaborate across processes.
