At 00:00 on August 27, 2025, Unit 2 of Guizhou JinYuan Zhijin Power Plant, operated by PowerChina Guizhou JinYuan Power Co., Ltd., successfully completed its 168-hour trial operation and officially commenced commercial operation. This follows the successful commissioning of Unit 1 on August 6, 2025, marking another key milestone and achieving the simultaneous commissioning of two units within one month, setting a new industry record. This major breakthrough not only signifies a leap forward in my country's supercritical coal-fired power generation technology, but also establishes a new benchmark for the independent control and intelligent transformation of key energy infrastructure.

This project is jointly invested and constructed by Guizhou JinYuan Power Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of State Power Investment Corporation) and Guizhou Panjiang Power Generation Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary of Guizhou Energy Group). Upon full operation, the project is expected to generate approximately 6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, which will significantly optimize the energy structure in Southwest China and enhance the region's power supply capacity.
