On November 6th, ABB Electrification Distribution Systems launched its SSC600 platform, a power system failure prediction solution, at the 8th China International Import Expo. This solution, based on "AI + Power," opens a new era of power system distribution, creating a more resilient power grid for scenarios with high proportions of renewable energy integration, and using innovative technology to help Chinese users accelerate the achievement of their "dual-carbon" goals.

Against the backdrop of new power system construction, traditional substation protection devices are undergoing a paradigm shift from decentralized to centralized systems. Through the in-depth application of full-electrical quantity acquisition technology, the system can achieve millisecond-level, full-domain perception of electrical quantities, laying a data foundation for digital networking. Adopting an integrated hardware architecture and modular software design, it not only shortens the construction and commissioning cycle by more than 40%, but also enables dynamic optimization and remote iterative upgrades of operating strategies through cloud-based reconfiguration capabilities for protection functions.
